The
Delaware Semi Pro League is a wood bat, unlimited age league based in Wilmington, Delaware.
They are one of
the oldest semi-pro leagues around with a long & storied tradition.
Over the years, they've had many
college players pass through the system along with a handful of professional
athletes including Ray Lloyd (Phillies '83), Chris Eddy (3rd Round, KC Royals
'92), Cliff Brumbaugh (13th Round, Texas Rangers '95), Kevin Mench (4th Round,
Texas Rangers '99), Mike Walls (Houston Astros '03) & most recently Todd Brock
(Florida Marlins '04).
The League has
transformed itself into a very competitive program, while seeing to it that talent is
distributed. This enables all teams to have a fair shot at making the
playoffs.
May 16th, 2005 is Opening Day for the Delaware
Semi Pro League. For the first time in 3 years, eight teams will take the field
including the AAU Renegades & PRO PT. The PRO PT team is truly honored &
enthusiastic about our
first season of Delaware Semi Pro baseball.
